I want to mention a sure sign of progress. By now you should have noticed a tightness in your chest and then an impulse to sigh. Whenever you feel this tightness, go ahead and let it out with a long slow Ah.
Here's this week's exercise. It has several variations. It's good visualization practice. Doing this daily will increase your store of psychic energy and help build you protective shields.
It's better to stand or lie down for this one. It's hard to form this image while sitting. I try to practice it each night before I go to sleep. I have better dreams when I do. It doesn't matter if you close you eyes or leave them open. The trick is to feel the energy as well as see it.
Picture a laser beam of light coming out of the ground and entering the soles of your feet. If you can't picture it pretend, you can. Feel it starting to tickle the soles and arches of you feet. If you don't feel it pretend you can. Play a game with yourself and see how well you can imagine it.
Now see and feel it going up through you legs. Fell the tickling sensation as the light energy climbs up through your knees. Picture yourself standing with your feet and legs touching. In your mind you should be seeing single beam of white light moving up between you feet and legs and grazing the inside surface of them.
The light now enters you body at the base of your spine. You should feel and see it on the spot the hurts when you sit down too hard. Now feel it moving straight up through the middle of you body. A brilliant white shaft of light traveling straight up the axis of your torso.
Feel it working up your body through you mid-section into your heart and up through your throat. If you understand about the chakras, you can envision it lighting them as it ascends. Feel the stimulation as it wends its way to your brow and then to the top of the head. It's OK if you can't feel it. Pretend you can.
Now visualize a fountain of light coming out of the top of your head. A few years ago fiber optic lights were the rage. They were a bundle of strands standing up with light coming out of the tips. The fountain looks like that. The top of your head will tickle and you will notice it throughout the next day.
An alternate image is a small fountain that some new age stores carry. The water comes out the top and spreads evenly in a perfect bubble. Pretend you can feel it flowing out of your head and down to the ground. Feel it fowing back up through your feet. Imagine yourself inside a clear bubble, that looks like an egg standing on its small end.
Practice this technique at least three or four times a week.
